Fairy lights twinkled and M Block was transformed into a dance hall of yesteryear for the 35th Annual Personality Quest (PQ) Ball on Friday 18 June. With the arrival of the excited students dressed in their finery, the dancefloor soon became a sea of smiles and laughter. Students and staff embraced the tradition and danced the night away to the lively tunes played by Kieran Lillis and his daughter Katie.

To ensure that everyone was able to keep up on the night, dance sessions were held during lunchtimes, Pastoral Care and other lessons where students were able to brush up on the old-time dances.

The highlight of the evening was, most definitely, the presentations of the winners. As usual, the entrants were absolutely stunning and dressed to impress and were elegantly escorted by some Year 12 students. It would have been a hard job to decide but, in the end, the judges crowned Harrison (Form Class 12-2) as Senior Winner and Courtney (Form Class 10-4) the Senior Runner-Up. Emma (Form Class 7-1) took the Junior Winner award and Prezlee (Form Class 9-1) was the Junior Runner-Up. Many thanks to the judges, Councillor Peter Saxelby, Mrs Jane Hoffmann and Chaplain Mark Nelson, for taking the time to judge all the entrants.

Every year, after the formalities of the night, our dedicated P&C Committee provide a fabulous spread for supper, and this year was no different. Students, staff and parents were even offered delicious snacks to take home at the end of the night.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank staff and students who made the PQ Ball possible. After the Ball had to be sadly cancelled last year, it was lovely to see everyone having so much fun together. We look forward to carrying this wonderful tradition into the future.
